Joanna has extensive experience in marketing, PR, journalism and sales before retraining and focussing on sustainability.
In 2025, Joanna was appointed a Fellow of the Institute of Sustainability and Environmental Professionals and a Chartered Environmentalist.
Joanna is a Liveryman of The Furniture Makers’ Company - a City of London livery company and charity for the furnishings industry - and a Freeman of the City of London. She is a Council member at FIRA and Chair of the advisory committee at FISP (Furniture Industry Sustainability Programme) and a Fellow of the Royal Society for Arts.
She is Co-founder of The Sustainable Design Collective - a 'think tank' group of leading workplace architects, designers and specifiers and also Editor of Sustainability Works magazine.
